Matt Hardin—whose family has farmed Napa land since 1849—founded Hardin Vineyard Management in 2021, channeling a lifetime of agricultural experience. Teaming with the talented Mike Loconto, Luke McMullen, and Danny Alfaro, they carry on a tradition of responsible agriculture and preservation of some of the most iconic sites in Napa Valley.
4 Winds is farmed vine by vine vs. block by block, employing sustainable, organic, and biodynamic principles to express the purity and uniqueness of 4 Winds. Matt's in-depth experience with every stage of the viticulture process allows him to work seamlessly alongside Thomas River Brown and Roy to farm the 4 Winds Estate vineyards with the end result in mind.
